For our meditation class today we chose an exercise from a little book of easy meditations - focusing on a flower. Using a daffodil, we meditated on its perfection and form. We then visualised the cycle of nature where its petals shed and the seeds would scatter. The flower would decay but the cycle would begin again.
I like this idea Marc - thanks! I've often looked at the bamboo in my local garden centre but never thought of using them in a creative way.

Those would look so good with chinese characters or sticks of cherry blossoms or something along those line.

Jennifer,
I was thinking about the various elements you are working with here. At least what I know about you so far. One idea that might work well for you is to buy a length or two of large diameter bamboo poles, cut them into vase size pieces and paint them.
Perfect for what you are working with here. Would make nice gifts too.
Hope all is going well. Take care.
Marc
