After a lengthy absence it is good to be back and to be feeling more optimistic again. There have been several delays with the summer house although it now has electricity. Unfortunately after a lot of stormy weather, one side of the roof has lost most of its shingles. Thankfully no water has come through to the inside so fingers crossed it stays that way until the roof is fixed. The main difficulty has been finding someone to paint it. We applied a base coat outside ourselves as soon the summer house was built in October but didn't manage to get the inside done. I have found a painter but as he can't come for another six weeks, we are now thinking of putting the inside base coat on by ourselves and leaving him to do the top two coats inside and out. Hopefully by the end of March it will be ready as my studio when it will be all systems go! Watch this space.
