We were at Melville Castle Hotel for lunch (this was where Mum & Dad had their wedding 50 years ago) and took a wander round their grounds. I came across this little summer house tucked away in a corner and just had to take a picture. It was a little damp inside and seemed to be used as storage for the croquet equipment but it's a nice spot all the same.
This is Mum & Dad at the main door of Melville Castle Hotel. It has recently had a make-over with new owners but essentially the layout is the same as it was 50 years ago (so I'm told - I wasn't at the wedding!). I particulary liked the paintings hanging in the lounge bar but have yet to identify the painter. They are of women in the art deco style (quite strong colours) and I think the painter's name may begin 'Koch...'. My search of the internet hasn't been successful so far. Of course I could just phone the hotel and ask but they may think I want to buy one.
